First steps
- Sign in. When the app is live, open it in the console and choose Reveal admin password; it is shown once, so save it in your password manager. Then sign in at your-name.apps.fresh.dev/auth/login. The email shown in the console (a placeholder at your app’s address)
- Change the admin’s name and email.
- Connect your first database under Admin › Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL and many more, reached over the internet with its public address.
- Ask a question with the query builder, save it, and add it to a dashboard.
- Add SMTP details in the console to email dashboards on a schedule.
Good to know
- Metabase connects to databases over the internet; private network addresses are blocked.
- If you set SMTP in the console, Metabase’s own email settings are locked to it.
