First steps
- Sign in. When the app is live, open it in the console and choose Reveal admin password; it is shown once, so save it in your password manager. Then sign in at your-name.apps.fresh.dev/auth. The email shown in the console (a placeholder at your app’s address)
- Open Admin panel › Settings › Connections and add your model provider (below).
- Create accounts for your team; sign-up is turned off.
- Try chatting with documents: the embedding and speech models are built in.
Connect a model provider
Add an OpenAI-compatible connection with the provider’s API address and your key, for example:
URL: https://api.openai.com/v1
Key: sk-…
URL: https://openrouter.ai/api/v1
Key: sk-or-…Any OpenAI-compatible API works; Ollama isn’t included.
Good to know
- You bring your own model provider key; no GPU is needed.
The Open WebUI project
Open WebUI is open-source software, licensed under Open WebUI License (BSD-3-Clause with a branding clause). Fresh runs version 0.12.3 of the upstream release for you. Fresh is not affiliated with the Open WebUI project; for questions about the software itself, its documentation and community are the best place to start.
